Amsterdam Adventures
My 3 must have places to visit in Amsterdam!
This is a short blog based on my top 3 memorable places whilst in Amsterdam. From stunning architectural buildings to some of the most iconic tourist attractions. If you have never visited Amsterdam I hope this blog will influence you to book that flight!
My two friends and I went on a 3 day trip to Amsterdam in January. Always wanting to go I was absolutely buzzing when we booked this one! We went during winter therefore, we did not get the best weather however, it did not bother us. The transport in Amsterdam is outstanding, our hotel was 20 minutes away from the centre therefore, we had to get the tram. They are easily navigated and will get you any where. I recommended buying a pass for all the days you will be there as it will save you time and money!
My first recommendation is...
📍Moco Museum
Moco museum is known for its focus on modern art, including work by renowned artists and street art, with famous names such as Banksy. The museum is located in the Museumplein area, which is close to other major cultural institutions such as the Van Gogh museum. There are different tickets options available, however if you are a student it is 15-19 euros. Taking about an hour to get threw the whole building. The bottom floor has very exciting and unique rooms, with digital immpersive art, I wanted to stay in them all day!
📍Heineken Experience
No trip to Amsterdam is complete without a visit to the Heineken experience. It took us a while to figure out what tram we needed to get, but thankfully we finally got there and I surprisingly enjoyed it very much. Learning about how the this beer is made whilst being able to taste it made the experience much better and engaging. Tickets were around 30 euro for this, it is jam packed and very interactive, it takes 1-2 hours to complete. I enjoyed the fact it was a self guided tour, therefore I didn't feel rushed threw the experience. This experience shares the history and surroundings revolving around Heineken. Some key features include:
- Brewery tour
- Interactive exhibits
- Heineken history
- Tasting sessions
- Bottle your own beer
- Architecture and design
- Gift shop
📍Oh My Bun!
As Amsterdam has hundreds of food options. I thought I would share the best place to go if you want to taste the most mouth-watering burgers ever! I have tasted many burgers since this and none have compared. The restaurant is easy to find however, it is quite small and does not have many tables and seats. The burger was around 10 euro although I would definitely pay 100 for it right now.
Going to Amsterdam soon so this blog has helped a lot for where I should go! Thank you
